“One pedestrian was killed at the scene and the other was injured,” Hampton said. “They were crossing from east to the west, going to the gas station across F.M. 1417. There was a Dodge minivan going northbound which ended up striking the two pedestrians.”

Police say 55-year-old Charles Smith of Sherman died. A 53-year-old Sherman woman suffered minor injuries and refused to go to the hospital.
