Houston teen killed in overnight crash in Temple
Police say their initial investigation shows a gold Nissan SUV was heading west on 190, when the vehicle somehow left the roadway, entered the median, and began to roll. The car stopped after crossing into eastbound traffic, before going up the embankment on the south side of the road.
Early-Morning Rollover Leaves Teen Dead, Sends 2 To Local Hospital
Two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, both of Houston, were injured.
Their names were not released.
Early Monday morning, a car rolled on U.S. Highway 190, just east of State Highway 95 in Temple. The vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Derrick Davis, was westbound when it entered the median and started to roll. It crossed the eastbound lanes and traveled up an embankment on the south side of the roadway before coming to rest. Davis was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
