Heather Petersen, 23, killed and Jose Francisco Lozoya Tellez, 37, injured in collision on U.S. 189 in Heber City, Utah

The Camry attempted to avoid the Trailblazer, but "the two vehicles collided nearly head-on," the UHP reported. Petersen was pronounced dead at the scene. Jose Francisco Lozoya Tellez, 37, of Heber City, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
