NORTH OGDEN — One person was killed and two others were seriously injured Monday evening in a three-vehicle wreck on I-15. The crash occurred around 8 p.m. when a northbound Ford Mustang lost control on the freeway in North Ogden, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. The Utah Highway Patrol said slide-offs were frequent on Weber County's freeways beginning around 3 p.m. The driver of the Mustang was killed in the crash. Northbound I-15 traffic was temporarily shut down at 2700 North, and motorists met heavy delays of 20 minutes or more.

There was light snow in the area, but it wasn't immediately known if weather contributed to the crash. Northbound I-15 traffic was temporarily shut down at 2700 North, and motorists met heavy delays of 20 minutes or more. The Mustang was T-boned by another car and then struck by a second following vehicle, according to Royce.

According to Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Todd Royce, the accident happened around 6 p.m. when the driver of a Ford Mustang, identified as Christine Waldemar, 44, of Chubbock, Idaho, lost control of her vehicle and hit a Gray Chevrolet Malibu just north of the Box Elder County line.
