Man injured, flown to hospital, after his car rear-ends semi truck on I-84 in Ogden, Utah

A semi pulling a box trailer was traveling westbound Friday on I-84, when it experienced some mechanical issues. The driver pulled to the right side of the road partially blocking the I-84 on-ramp from Mountain Green. A Honda Accord, was traveling west on the I-84 on-ramp, when for an unknown reason the driver of the Honda did not see the semi and crashed into the rear of the semi-trailer. A medical helicopter was called to the scene. The westbound lanes of I-84 were shut down for approximately 30 min while the helicopter was on scene. The 40-year-old male driver was transported in serious condition and was conscious when he left the scene.
