Officers learned the SUV that fled after the accident was believed to be a gold-colored GMC Suburban or Yukon. The year of the SUV is not known.

Upon their arrival, police and EMTs discovered the victim, since identified as 59-year-old Kerry Brown, on the ground, injured, and promptly began administering life-saving efforts. Unfortunately, Brown died at the scene.
