Witnesses say he was conducting "drills" to simulate responding to in-flight emergencies, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office. But about 6 p.m., "something happened" and he fell into the water from about 150 feet in the air, according to a sheriff's office news release.
Siegfried Muhlhauser, 59, from Murrieta, California, died in a parasailing accident in Utah. He was being towed behind a boat about 150 feet in the air Friday night when he fell into Utah Lake. He was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
