Many played in soccer games with “Mia” or “Mia #9” painted on their legs or faces, and players said they played their hearts out with their friend in mind. The hashtag #PrayforMia has also been in use on Twitter as another show of support for the teen.

A teenager suffered critical injuries when her car and a pickup collided Wednesday night in West Jordan. The teen suffered "extremely critical" injuries and was flown to University Hospital. The driver of the pickup suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and was taken to Jordan Valley Hospital. Investigators are trying to determine whether one of the two vehicles ran a red light or was speeding.
