Motorcyclist critical, but improved after crash in West Valley City.
A motorcyclist was in critical but improved condition Wednesday, the day after he collided with a car at a West Valley City intersection.
West Valley Deputy Police Chief Mike Powell said the 45-year-old victim’s vital signs had been stabilized, but he faced a long recovery from the severe leg injuries and head trauma he suffered in the Tuesday night accident.
The motorcycle crashed into a vehicle making a left turn from a grocery store parking lot at 4035 S. 5600 West. The motorcyclist was initially unconscious, but regained consciousness and was talking with paramedics when transported to the hospital by helicopter, Powell said.
Powell said no citations had yet been issued as the accident remained under investigation.
No other serious injuries were reported.
