Motorcyclist dies in West Valley City crash

A motorcyclist died late Saturday after he was struck by oncoming traffic in West Valley City. Though he was wearing a helmet, Nuno died at the scene. He tried to pass the taxi in the center lane near 4250 West, but clipped the side of the taxi while doing so, said police Lt. Nuno was knocked into the eastbound lanes, where he was hit by an eastbound pick-up truck about 11:50 p.m. Nuno lived in the city, Taylor said.
