Washington & Lee University says a traffic accident has killed one student and injured nine others. A university spokesman says in a statement posted on the school's website that Kelsey Durkin of New Canaan died in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday in Rockbridge County. Ruscio says six students were treated at a hospital in Lexington and released. Three students were transported from the Lexington hospital to other area hospitals. The driver of the car has been charged with DUI.
