Margaret Elizabeth Legg, 87, dead after crashing into a tree off Lyndhurst Road in Waynesboro, Virginia

Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Lyndhurst Road at about 4:13 p.m. and arrived to find a single vehicle had hit a tree. Legg was in the 2005 Chevrolet four-door, unresponsive, and died at the scene. The car was traveling north on Lyndhurst Rd. when it left the road for unknown reason, traveled up an embankment, and finally crashed into the tree.
