Man dies in crash after fleeing for DUI stop

The driver was pinned in the vehicle, and was extricated by Virginia Beach Fire Department and EMS.  
A high-speed resulted in the death of a male driver who fled from police after being pulled over. Early Sunday morning Virginia Beach police were conducting a traffic stop on Baker Road.  The driver of a pickup truck was suspected of DUI.  The law enforcement officer made initial contact with the driver who then fled east bound on Baker Road at high speed, turning right onto De Laura Lane and attempted to make a left onto Holladay Lane. At that point the driver lost control and hit a tree. The driver, Travis Martin Hill, 30, of Holladay  Lane, Virginia Beach, was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
