Police said a box truck was driving north on U.S. 29, less than a mile south of Virginia 662 (Gettes Mountain Road), at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned in the southbound lanes of U.S. 29, spilling household furniture and other items into the road.
