Chief Doug Sadler of the Pembroke Police Department says a 19-year-old man driving a Honda was going 72 mph in a 45 mph speed zone around 6:35 p.m. Saturday. An officer took off after the Honda when the speed came on his radar. The Honda passed another officer going 77 mph. The driver's speeds exceeded over 100 mph then later 125 mph. The driver crossed medians, headed on Route 460, drove through Pembroke and even drove eastbound on a westbound road.
