Jerry Knight, 51, killed in hit-and-run accident while driving moped on Interstate 66 outside of Falls Church, Virginia

A man was found dead along I-66 in Fairfax County due to an apparent hit-and-run crash, police said. This is the second fatal crash on a small motorcycle or moped in Fairfax County this month. Anyone who might have seen this moped or witnessed the crash is asked to call Virginia State Police at 703-803-0026. Virginia State Police found Jerry Knight, 51, of Arlington, Virginia lying next to a black 2012 Intercept moped at the Falls Church exit of I-66 in Fairfax County, according to a release. There were no other vehicles at the scene when police arrived, but further investigation revealed the moped did collide with another vehicle, which has not yet been located.
