The driver was booked into the Snohomish County Jail. A passenger, also from Edmonds, was transported to Swedish/Edmonds hospital.
A vehicle was heading westbound on Highway 104 about 1:40 a.m. Saturday was attempting to merge, then attempted to return to the previous lane hit the guardrail, over corrected, crossed all four lanes, and hit the cement barrier.
