Camas motorcyclist critically injured in crash on ramp to I-205.
A Camas man was hospitalized after a Monday afternoon crash on southbound Interstate 205 in Vancouver. Danny Eastham, 63, was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on state Highway 14 and took the ramp to get onto I-205 south, according to the Washington State Patrol. He entered the turn too quickly and the motorcycle frame brushed the pavement, causing Eastham to lose control of the motorcycle. He was ejected from the bike. Both Eastham and his motorcycle came to rest in a grassy area near two freeway ramps from Highway 14. Eastham was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition Monday evening. Speeding contributed to the crash, according to law enforcement officials. Motorcycling is growing in popularity in Southwestern Washington, and with it, an increase in serious and fatal motorcycle accidents. Learn more about Vancouver motorcycle injury crashes here.
