A 17-year-old boy is facing charges of vehicular assault in connection with an injury crash during a police pursuit early Sunday, Oct. 21.

2 teens injured in collision after deputy chase

A teen driver crashed his vehicle early Sunday morning in Whatcom County after a deputy pursuit, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Two teenage boys were involved in a crash on Lakeway Drive in Bellingham. The two teens were fleeing a deputy's patrol car when they lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. They were tranported to a local hospital with injuries. Identities not yet released.
