The King County Medical Examiner identified the woman as Diana E. Martinka, 53.

The driver of the vehicle drove away from the scene and is being sought by law enforcement. The vehicle would have sustained front-end damage and would be missing an outside mirror, which was broken and separated from the vehicle during the incident. Witnesses stated that the driver of the suspect vehicle was male.

A 53-year-old Ferndale woman was walking across 128th Street SW in Everett at about 7:40 p.m. when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle. The vehicle did not stop to render aid, and detectives are now asking for the public's help to identify the driver. The make, model or color of the vehicle involved is still unknown, but investigators say it would have sustained front-end damage and will be missing an outside mirror, and the driver is believed to be male. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is urged to call the The Snohomish County Sheriff's office at (425) 388-3845.
