John Sullivan was riding his bicycle to work on Friday morning when he was hit by a car in the parking lot of the Avalon Apartments near the 5800 block of Lakeview Drive. The driver took off without checking to see if Sullivan was okay, he said.
"What happen... I should have been a goner," Sullivan said Thursday from his hospital bed at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Sullivan suffered 7 broken ribs, a broken pelvis, cuts behind his ear, and a broken vertebrae, his wife said.
