A Seattle police motorcycle officer who was seriously injured in a collision Monday morning in the Sodo neighborhood remains in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center.

A Seattle police officer was injured shortly before 9 a.m. today when his motorcycle and a car collided in the SoDo area.
A Seattle police officer was seriously injured shortly before 9 a.m. today when his motorcycle and a car collided in the SoDo area.
Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore said the officer was thrown about 10 to 15 feet after the collision at Fourth Avenue South and South Lander Street.
The officer, a 57-year-old man, suffered a fracture, Moore said. He was reported alert and oriented and was being taken to Harborview Medical Center.
