Train critically injures pedestrian in Sodo

The incident occurred about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Occidental Avenue South and South Horton Street, reports say. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was blocked in the area after the incident due to the stopped train and commuter rail traffic also experienced delays.

The man, who was on foot, was struck by the train in the Sodo neighborhood. Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
