Motorcycle passenger dies in Cook Road crash

A crash on Cook Road Saturday evening left a Sedro-Woolley woman dead and her husband injured. The man who hit them was taken to jail. A Washington State Patrol report says drugs or alcohol were involved.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — A passenger on a motorcycle died Saturday night in a Skagit County crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision happened on Cook Road east of Collins Road at 5:44 p.m.

Motorcycle passenger killed in Skagit car crash

A car rammed into a motorcycle in Skagit County Saturday evening, killing a passenger on the motorcycle.

The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. outside Sedro-Woolley, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stopped just east of Collins Road, waiting to make a left turn, when a Honda Accord heading the same direction failed to stop, hitting the motorcycle from behind. The couple on the motorcycle were taken to Skagit Valley Hospital. The passenger, 55-year-old Kathleen Mask, died at the hospital of multiple blunt trauma.
