Two people who died in Highway 101 crash identified
The road was blocked in both directions for the investigation. The Department of Ecology was called in to check out what appeared to be a minor diesel spill from the semi, the StatePatrol said.

Two people died in an accident on Highway 101 near Potlatch State Park in Mason County. The State Patrol says the driver of a Honda Accord lost control Tuesday and the car spun, crossing the center line and colliding with an oncoming Kenworth truck hauling two empty flatbed trailers.

The driver of a Honda Accord lost control Tuesday and the car spun, crossing the center line and colliding with an oncoming Kenworth truck hauling two empty flatbed trailers. Mason County Coroner Wes Stockwell identified the dead as Mary Irene Johnson, 51, of Hoodsport, and Richard Lee Bieniek, 52, of Hoquiam. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
