Police are on the hunt for two men in a white van believed to be responsible for a Tuesday night hit-and-run that sent one man to the hospital with critical injuries. The victim was walking across Aurora Avenue North at roughly 6:45 p.m. when he was hit by a white work van. Witnesses told deputies the van, which was driven by a Hispanic man, pulled into a nearby Jiffy Lube parking lot after the crash, but drove away moments later before police arrived. Police and emergency workers arrived moments later and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where he is in critical condition. Deputies are now looking for the driver and his passenger, who is also a Hispanic man. The van was a full sized Ford or Chevy with a work rack on top and a broken headlight.5 ways to help the survivor of a pedestrian accident After someone is seriously injured in a pedestrian accident, their life is put on hold as they deal with the aftermath – pain from injuries, possible hospitalization, surgery, or rehabilitation, endless doctor visits – and growing medical bills.
