1 dead, 1 critically injured in Grant County car crash

The Grant County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that one person is dead and another person is in critical condition after a car crash near Moses Lake. One person is dead and another person is critically injured after a two-car wreck in Grant County. One person died, and one is in critical condition and was flown to a hospital in the Tri-Cities via Medstar. At this time, Sheriff's can't say if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Just before 5 p.m., two cars collided at an intersection at Road "O" and 2 SE, Southeast of Moses Lake.

Napping woman killed in Moses Lake two-car wreck

MOSES LAKE, Wash. – A two-car wreck Thursday afternoon in Grant County killed a woman who was napping and left authorities looking for a missing dog. Officials said a 31-year-old woman from Portland, Oregon was sleeping in the back of the Jeep when the collision occurred. Deputies said both Cowdry and Leslie were wearing seatbelts and it is unknown if alcohol or drugs are a factor. Deputies have not named the woman yet pending notification of next of kin. She was not wearing a seatbelt and thus was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Portland woman killed, dog missing after crash near Moses Lake

Jenny ran from the scene and her whereabouts is unknown. The woman, who has not been identified was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the SUV. She died at the scene. The Sheriff's Office says a four-year-old Pit bull named Jenny was riding in the front seat of the Jeep at the time of the crash. Cowdry was flown to a hospital in Richland and is in stable condition. She ran from the scene and hasn't been seen since.

Officials seek help in fatal accident case

A 31-year-old Portland, Ore., woman was killed in the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Road 2-Southeast and Road O-Southeast, about 2.5 miles southeast of Moses Lake, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, died at the scene.

Portland woman sleeping in back of Jeep killed in Washington crash

A passenger in the Jeep was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The 31-year-old woman was identified Friday as Lauren Schatz of Portland.  Deputies said she was sleeping and not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
