Woman killed in collision with tree on Highway 904 near Cheney identified Posted: Updated: The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity and cause and manner of death of the woman who died at Sacred Heart Medical Center on November 17, 2015 as the result of an incident on State Route 904 and Mile Post 16 in Cheney, WA. The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the woman killed in a crash on Highway 904 Tuesday night as 70-year-old Carolyn W. Wilford. The crash happened Tuesday night about five miles outside of Cheney. Troopers say she crashed her car into a tree that had fallen across the highway after a violent windstorm passed through the area Tuesday night. Another woman was killed during the storm Tuesday night on Spokane's south hill when she was struck by a falling tree.

Two killed in wind storm

Later in the day a driver was killed on SR 904 near Cheney after a tree fell on top of their car. Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeff Sevigney reported the accident at approximately 6:30 p.m. The incident happened at milepost 16 just south of Interstate 90.
