2 children flown to hospital after crash near Deer Park

Emergency crews are responding to an extrication car crash on Highway 395 and Crawford near Deer Park. The roadway near Highway 395 and Crawford is closed after a serious car crash. Two of those children were flown by Medstar to a local hospital to be treated with life-threatening injuries. Two children have been flown to local hospitals to be treated for life-threatening injuries. At least one car flipped over in the crash, and initial reports say three children were involved.

Neighbors want "Coffin Corner" looked at by WA transportation department

Al Gilson, from the Department of Transportation says that "Coffin Corner" is the busiest intersection in Deer Park. Some of the folks we talked to in Deer Park refer to an intersection that's close to Wednesday's crash site as "Coffin Corner" because of the number of crashes there. Gilson went on to say two-thirds of the crashes there are people pulling out into traffic without looking and having another vehicle hit them. Five people are still recovering after a nasty crash on Highway 395 at Crawford Road Wednesday night. Washington State Patrol troopers say the crash happened when one car did a U-turn directly in front of another.
