A truck hit a pole Friday morning in North Spokane and closed all lanes along Monroe near Fairview. Traffic was diverted from Cleveland to Dalton until about 9:30 a.m. when Monroe was reopened.

A truck hit a pole Friday morning in North Spokane and closed all lanes along Monroe near Fairview. Two people were taken to the hospital according to firefighters on the scene. Both of the people were in the truck. Spokane police said the people were expected to be okay, although a female passenger suffered serious injuries after the vehicle's right tire pushed into her. The driver was able to get out of the truck under his own power. Officers at the scene said the truck was going southbound and lost control. However, it was not immediately known what caused the driver to lose control.
