Fatigue caused Yakima woman to crash on I-82

Neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the accident and Hutchinson was wearing a seat belt, according to troopers.

Authorities believe fatigue was a factor in an accident Friday evening on Interstate 82 south of Ellensburg that sent a Yakima woman to Kittitas Valley Healthcare. Shelby Hutchinson, 30, was traveling east on the interstate at about 5 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle, overcorrected, and then exited the road and struck an embankment. Her current condition has not been reported.
