Mabton boy killed in accident identified
Viewing and visitation will be at 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Mabton Grace Brethren Church. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial to follow in Mabton Cemetery.

The Washington State Patrol says a 6 year old boy was hit and killed while crossing the street today in Mabton.

Mariscal was not injured and was able to drive from the scene.
At about 4:44 p.m., 6-year-old Uziel Salomon Barrera Alejandri was playing with three other children who all ran across Fourth avenue. A pickup truck driven by Dominique Mariscal, 23, that was traveling on the road was unable to avoid Alejandri and struck the boy. He was declared dead at the scene. Investigation continues, but so far it does not appear that Mariscal was speeding or negligent.
