Sunnyside man hurt in Mabton crash with semi
Phillip A. Dunkle, 78, was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital by ambulance. An update on his condition was not available. Troopers said Dunkle was southbound on SR-241 about 2:20 p.m. when he failed to yield the right of way to a Freightliner semi driven by Roland Dagdagan, 54, of Wapato. Dagdagan was eastbound on SR-22. Dunkle, who was not wearing a seat belt, was expected to receive a ticket for failing to yield, according to the patrol news release, which said Dagdagan was wearing a seat belt.
