She was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Hospital staff said today that she was in satisfactory condition as of about 6 p.m.
Two drivers were injured, including a Selah woman, in a crash near the west entrance to the Hanford Nuclear Reservation Saturday afternoon. Sharon M. Farris, 73, and the driver of the other car, 75-year-old Richard A. Nordgren of Richland, were sent to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland following the 3:32 p.m. crash. A nursing supervisor said their injuries were still being evaluated as of 7 p.m. Farris was westbound on State Route 240 and was turning left onto State Route 24 when she collided with Nordgren’s car, which was westbound on SR 240 about 39 miles east of Yakima.
