According to the Washington State Patrol, a 32-year-old Yakima man in a Dodge Ram driving westbound on Goodlander Road turned left onto southbound 1st Street and hit the 63-year-old woman in the crosswalk around 9:38 a.m.

A 2013 Dodge Ram pickup truck was driving west on Goodlander Road around 9:38 a.m. when the driver, 32-year-old Frank Uribe-Valencia of Yakima, turned left on to First Street and struck Connie L. Shaw, who was in the intersection, according to a State Patrol news release.
