Head-On Collision Kills One Near Sunnyside

SUNNYSIDE, WA- 34-year-old Gloria Bautista died at the scene of a crash after her car hit another car head-on on I-82 near Sunnyside. Bautista was driving a White Pontiac Eastbound on the Westbound side of I-82 just four miles outside of Sunnyside. 38-year-old Juan Maldonado Roque was driving Westbound in a Red Ford Expedition. Washington State Patrol reported Bautista collided head-on with Roque. Bautista was pronounced dead at the scene and Roque was injured. It is not known whether drugs or alcohol was involved.
