Driver fatigue blamed for crash near Toppenish

Janice L. Cramer, 78, was driving her Infiniti QX4 south on U.S. Highway 97 about 2:50 p.m. when she crossed the center line 3 miles south of Toppenish, according to a news release from the State Patrol. Cramer overcorrected and the car went off the roadway and rolled.
Fortunately, Cramer was wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Toppenish Community Hospital and is now in satisfactory condition. Driver fatigue is believed to be the cause of the crash, and Cramer has been cited for negligent driving.
