The patrol said cause of the crash is under investigation, but that neither drugs nor alcohol was involved.
At about 6:38pm, a westbound car on I-90 driven by Mayes collided with another westbound vehicle, a pickup truck driven by James L. Dawson, 58. Details on the crash are limited, but according to the report Mayes was injured and transported to a hospital while neither Dawson or his 40-year-old passenger, also named James L. Dawson, were hurt.
