Toaga R. Liulamaga was a passenger in a 2005 Camry driven by Leandro Huereca, 41, also of Toppenish, when the driver lost control of the car, which crashed into a canal off Lateral A Road and caught fire, the State Patrol said.
A car crashed into a canal off Lateral A and Evans Road in Wapato, Washington, and caught fire Friday, March 6, at approximately 1:40 am, killing one person. The victim was a passenger in a Toyota Camry driven by Leandro Huereca, 41, of Toppenish, who was transported to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation. It has not yet been reported if charges will be filed.
