Single vehicle crash at the intersection of Chaplin Road and U.S. 19, just after 5:30 Saturday morning in Monongalia County. Driver of the 2001 Kia Sportage driving northbound on U.S. 19 was Andrew Mainenti. He was driving at a high speed when he lost control, went into a grassy median area and slammed into a traffic light pole. Mainenti was brought to Ruby Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition. Passenger, Bryce Mullins was also transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.
