Bill and Pat Searcy killed in small-plane crash in Jacksonburg, West Virginia

No survivors in Wetzel County plane crash(link is external)

The official statement from FAA Public Affairs Specialist Arlene Salac confirms the plane was found at approximately 2:00 p.m. However, local authorities were having a difficult time reaching the plane in the hours after the discovery due to the mountainous terrain.

Investigators believe the people on board the plane were Bill Searcy, his wife Pat and their dog, all from Carterville Illinois.

Bill Searcy was a retired business man, and his wife, Pat, was a retired school teacher who taught in the neighboring community of Carbondale.
