David Cronoble, 54, killed in snowmobile crash into parked truck on Lake Namakagon in Bayfield County, Wisconsin

Cronoble had been traveling with three other snowmobilers and was the last in a group headed to Lakewoods Resort and Lodge, where they were staying. The friends arrived and, while waiting for Cronoble, were alerted by another snowmobiler to call 911 because there had been an accident out on the ice, the Sheriff's Office reported. Cronoble had left the marked "stick trail" on the lake before he struck the unoccupied truck owned by a Forest Lake, Minn., man, authorities said.
