The Door County Sheriff's Department reports one person was killed and another injured after a 23-foot Powerquest boat crashed into a large rock on the shore last night.
It happened near Door Bluff Road in the Town of Libery Grove just before midnight Friday.
Sheriff Steve Delarwelle reports the owner of the boat, a 54-year-old Illinois man, was killed and a 40-year old man from Washington Island was seriously injured.

Vernon Rubenic, 54, of Oswego, Illinois, was driving his 23-foot Powerquest boat late Friday evening when he crashed into a large rock on the shore near Door Bluff Road in the town of Liberty Grove.
