Deputies: Man partially ejected after car went airborne

Investigators said Rusty J. Lincoln, 23, of Wisconsin Dells, was speeding when he lost control of his 2008 Dodge Charger on a curve and struck a guardrail. The car went airborne and rolled before landing in a field.
A man suspected of first-offense operating while intoxicated crashed his car and was flown to a hospital early Tuesday morning, according to a release from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called to County Road H at Glen Valley Drive in the town of Winfield at 3:22 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash. Investigators said Rusty J. Lincoln, 23, of Wisconsin Dells, was speeding when he lost control of his 2008 Dodge Charger on a curve and struck a guardrail. The car went airborne and rolled before landing in a field. Deputies said Lincoln was partially ejected and was seriously injured. He was taken to Reedsburg Area Medical Center and later flown to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
