Alcohol believed to be factor in fatal Christmas morning crash, police say

A vehicle reportedly crashed into a retaining wall at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Angle Streets around 2:05 a.m., police said. According to the release, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. One man was killed and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Baraboo early Friday morning that police believe may have involved alcohol, according to a release. Both men were extricated from the vehicle and taken to St. Officers found two men trapped inside the vehicle, according to the release.

Driver, victim of Christmas crash identified

Brockman, the driver of the truck, is being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office on charges of operating under the influence of an intoxicant, first offense, and a felony charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
