Single-vehicle crash leaves 16-year-old in critical condition

Hendrickson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, officials said.
A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition following a one-car accident Saturday afternoon near Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Police were made aware of a one-car crash on County Road Y near Blotz Road in the town of Dodgeville around 2:30 p.m. Alexis Lynn Hendrickson, 16, of Dodgeville, was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier south on County Road Y when she lost control of her car, resulting in her vehicle driving off the road and hit a utility pole. Hendrickson had to be extricated from the vehicle and sent to Upland Hills Health in critical condition. She was later taken to UW Hospital. Her present condition has not been released. Authorities claim the girl was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened. We will have more details on this story as they emerge.
