An Indiana driver was seriously injured in a suspected drunk-driving crash after hitting six other vehicles over a one-mile stretch Thursday afternoon, police said.
A 59-year-old driver from Indiana is facing tentative drunk driving charges after striking six vehicles over a one mile area. His vehicle only came to a stop when it lost a wheel and plowed into the sixth vehicle. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to UW Hospital by medical helicopter. One other driver was injured during the incident, and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
