Authorities have identified the victim of a rollover accident on Interstate 43 at Highway 100 Sunday morning.

The driver of the vehicle, Tammy Gawlitta, 39, of West Allis, was ejected from the passenger side window of her Dodge Durango and was trapped underneath in a ditch, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department. Two passers-by lifted the vehicle off its side and pushed it upright before performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Gawlitta.

Greenfield Fire Department rescuers also performed CPR. A 3-year-old passenger in a car seat suffered a minor injury and was taken to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

The accident happened at 10:41 a.m. on eastbound I-43. Authorities closed the freeway west of the accident scene and diverted traffic onto W. Layton Ave. until just before 2 p.m.
