Father of four killed in hit-and-run crash

Police said the person who hit Taylor was driving a maroon or burgundy sedan.
Police have identified a man killed in a hit-and-run early Wednesday. The crash happened at Silver Spring Drive and Lovers Lane in Milwaukee. A close friend tied four balloons at the scene of the crash, one for each of the victims' children -- 14-year-old triplets and a 6-year-old daughter, hoping it will signal drivers to slow down. Milwaukee police said 35-year-old Deandre Taylor was crossing the street on Lovers Lane when he was hit by a car. Chris Syrrakos is the uncle of Taylor's youngest child. He said Taylor lived down the street. He said Taylor was a family man, a hard worker and someone who everyone loved. Syrrakos is asking the person who hit Taylor to come forward. "Well, hopefully, you know, knowing that he has four kids that are now without a dad, you know, maybe somebody will come forward with some information and help them so this doesn't happen again," Syrrakos said. Police said the person who hit Taylor was driving a maroon or burgundy sedan. The family has set up a memorial fund through US Bank.
