One dead after two vehicle crash in Rock County.
An 86-year-old Edgerton man is dead following a crash Friday between a pickup truck and a Freightliner grain truck in Rock County, the sheriff's office said.
The crash was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. on State Highway 11 and Dunbar Road in the Town of Plymouth, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
According to the release, the 2005 Freightliner, driven by a 69-year-old South Wayne man, was hauling grain and headed east on Highway 11 when the 2011 Chevy Silverado crossed the centerline into its path.
The driver of the Freightliner swerved to the right to avoid the pickup but the two vehicles partially collided, sending the Freightliner into the south ditch, where it overturned.
The Silverado came to a halt on the highway and its driver was found dead, according to the release.
The driver of the Freightliner suffered a head injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the release, which did not report the severity of the man's injury.
